Isabel Van Haute

Bio

Isabel Van Haute earned a degree in architecture from Saint-Luc School of Architecture in Ghent in 2001. She is a licensed architect in Belgium and serves as Founding Partner of Coldefy since 2006, with Thomas Coldefy.

Her previous experience includes positions held at prestigious architecture offices in New York and Paris (Richard Meier and Partners, Patrick Berger, SCAU and Agence Dominique Perrault). In 2006, shortly after her arrival at Coldefy, her originality and resource fulness brought the studio success with the Hong Kong Design Institute which, together with Thomas Coldefy, they won against 162 teams.

This project is a manifesto which embodies the approach and values of Coldefy’s duo.

The studio develops projects at regional, national and international levels, for public and private clients,in the fields of education, culture, sport, housing, retail, urban design. Finesse, monumentality, urbanity and attention to detail compose their signature.

The well-being of the users and inhabitants, based on sustainable and innovative practices in line with our environmental challenges, is central in each project. The office’s work has been many times nominated, awarded, exhibited, and published.
